How much does one saved tip-over pay for? +
A robotic total station is SGD 30k–60k. A terrestrial laser scanner is SGD 80k–200k. One averted drop pays for a Sicher MiniPro (~US$999) several times over — not counting insurance excess, rental substitute and lost project days.
Will it false-trigger from normal handling? +
No. The trigger combines free-fall acceleration, tilt rate and duration — engineered to ignore normal jostling, carrying and setup movements. Trigger thresholds are programmable per payload weight.
Can it be re-used after deployment? +
Yes — Sicher airbags are designed for multiple deployments. Re-pack the cushion, replace the gas consumable, return to service. Up to 5 cycles per unit. Easepect runs the re-pack workflow for Singapore customers.
Is it compatible with my instruments? +
Almost certainly. Sicher covers Leica, Trimble, Topcon, Sokkia, Hexagon, Faro and most third-party tripods with 165 mm heads. For non-standard kit we engineer a bespoke airbag geometry — ask for the Custom option.
Does insurance recognise it? +
Several regional insurers offer reduced premiums for Sicher-protected equipment. We provide the documentation pack — certifications, IP rating, deployment-time data — that insurers ask for.
